My name is Pablo Garces and I am a Computer Engineering student from Miami studying at the University of Florida. My primary interests are technology, the environment, robotics, and entrepreneurship.

I've worked on a variety of projects in the past and I'm most experienced in Java / Android development as well as web development. In High School, I found a place at the robotics club and soon became the Lead of the Software Team there. The team played hundreds of matches in the International FTC (First Robotics Competition) over my four years as the Software Team Lead.

Now, at UF, I am part of a number of clubs that continue to foster my passion for technology and the environment, including UF IEEE (Insitute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers), UF SEC (Software Engineering Club), the UF Solar Gators, and the UF Entrepreneurship Club. In addition to my club involvement, I also frequently attend hackathons to meet new people with the same passions as me and to gain experience developing real projects.

At HackDuke, my team and I won best use of the Facebook API for an app that allowed users to track and improve their carbon emissions. I am currently seeking an internship for the Summer of 2017 at a technology company so that I can apply my skills and gain experience.
